After the game Locker made it known how he felt about the hit.

“I thought I was clearly in the end zone,” Locker said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean. “I wasn’t expecting to get hit. I kind of thought that was a cheap shot.”

Locker left the game briefly to be checked for a concussion but came back into the game. He then exited the game a second time, but this was for a thumb injury. The Titans went on to blow a 25-point lead to the Cleveland Browns and ended up losing the game.

Locker will have an MRI on his thumb to determine the extent of the damage, another knock and speed bump for the oft-injured Locker.

While in the game Locker was effective and efficient, completing eight of 11 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He had a quarterback rating of 99.2 and a passer rating of 122.9. Locker also made some plays with his feet rushing four times for 34 yards, including the touchdown scramble.

“It was a conscious effort on my part,” he said. “I’d gotten away from that type of football that I’d always played. … I knew we needed to get back to it.”
