This would appear to be a match made in heaven. I cannot think of a better pairing than soulful R&B and America’s most polarizing sport. What is sure to be a great game, just got a whole lot better with this announcement on Twitter via Geoff Mosher of CSN.
The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles have engaged in one of the National Football League’s longest standing rivalry. It has produced great moments such as “The Miracle in the Meadowlands;” both parts 1 and 2. They have battled it out for numerous NFC East divisional titles throughout the years. Their feud has made household names of guys like Donovan McNabb, Eli Manning, Tiki Barber, Brian Westbrook, DeSean Jackson, and David Akers.

However, this post is not really about football. It is about what we get to enjoy as an interlude. I mean, come on. Who can forget some of Boyz II Men’s greatest hits.
There are many others including this blast from that past that all citizens of the 1990’s will enjoy.
Is it the Backstreet Boys or an NSYNC reunion? No. But it may very well be our bronze medal prize. So embrace it, NFL fans. Because life rarely brings along unexpected joys such as this. As the immortal Hank Williams Junior once proclaimed, “Are you ready for some football?”
