The Baltimore Ravens have been looking for the replacement of linebacker Ray Lewis, a future Hall of Famer, to be the core of their defense for years to come. They decided that person could be Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley, and they drafted him in the first round.

The rookie has had a strong season so far, and Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts Mosley notched 14 tackles, an interception and quarterback hit that led to another interception.
“Some of the plays he made on the field today, it’s unbelievable,” said cornerback Lardarius Webb, via the team’s website. “Reminds you of Ray (Lewis) — to me.”
Webb might have been the only one to draw the Lewis comparison, his defensive teammates have also liked what they’ve seen and been quick to praise him.
“I think he played phenomenal,” outside linebacker Terrell Suggs said. “We’ve all got to catch up to him.”
“Awesome. Love having him back there behind me,” defensive tackle Haloti Ngata added. “It’s great that he hustles everywhere and makes all the tackles.”
The scary part is that it is only safe to assume that Mosley will be getting better throughout his career and it would be ridiculous to say he is presently at Lewis’ Hall of Fame level and standard, but the potential looks promising.
