Currently dealing with alleged child abuse charges, Adrian Peterson allegedly admitted to smoking a ‘little bit’ of marijuana and there is concern about possibly failing a court-ordered drug test, this according to TMZ.
"NFL star Adrian Peterson admitted he “smoked a little weed” and could fail a court-ordered drug test … this according to court docs … and now prosecutors are gunning to throw the NFL star in jail.According to the docs, during the testing process, Peterson admitted to an employee of the company that conducted the testing that he recently “smoked a little weed.”"
Keep in mind there has been no confirmation that Peterson did indeed fail any potential court-ordered drug test at this point, though TMZ states prosecutors say smoking the marijuana would be a direct violation of his bond terms and have allegedly asked for Adrian Peterson to be arrested.
Recently Peterson’s lawyer requested the pending court case for the running back be moved up though the first week of December was the earliest available date. The court is attempting to rush the case however and could potentially move the date up sooner if there is a cancellation.
It’s not known how the recent alleged marijuana admission would impact such, though obviously given the prosecution is attempting to throw him in jail, it’s a pretty big deal.
