Keys to Victory
Steelers
To this point, no one really knows who this team is. Is this team the one that last to the Buccaneers a few weeks ago, or is this the team that we saw last weekend against the Jaguars. The key to the change last weekend was the performance of the defense, which had come under scrutiny as of late. If they can keep this momentum up, then they can certainly shut down the Browns’ offensive attack.
Browns
In the last meeting between these two teams, the Steelers jumped out to a huge lead and the Browns were able to fight their way back in the second half with a nice balance of pass and run. They can’t afford to fall behind early this time, so they need to find that balance as soon as possible against that Steelers D and get the points early and often.
Betting Odds
Point Spread: Browns -1
Moneyline: Steelers +108, Browns -128
O/U: 47
Prediction
Quite frankly, the Steelers defense is just a little too inconsistent to open up the season and the Browns offense found the rhythm last time just a little too late to get the win. This time around, though, they’ll get the better of the Steelers defense with a huge outing from Brian Hoyer
Final Score: Browns 21, Steelers 17
