Ventura battled and pitched well for the Royals, working into the sixth inning and keeping the Orioles to four runs in a tie game. Despite a day off tomorrow and a couple rough patches for Ventura, Royals’ manager Ned Yost rode his young starter into the sixth inning. In the middle of that inning, however, Ventura had to exit with an apparent injury.
Given the fact that Ventura is a young rookie, this raised some eyebrows about how he was used in this game and in the postseason more generally.
last time out, Yordano Ventura's fastball averaged 98.2 miles per hour. this time, 95.0 miles per hour and removed by manager and trainer

Yikes, that's the last thing anybody wanted to see: Ventura walking off with a trainer.

Not that Ventura has been overworked, but if Royals had fallen out of race, he was most likely getting shut down in mid-September.

Ventura is shaking his head as Yost and a team trainer come to remove him from the game. Unclear what the issue is.

Depending on how the Royals do in the rest of this series, the health of Ventura will be a big story as far as their chances moving forward.
