It doesn’t look to be overly windy the Cotton Bowl today though you wouldn’t know that if you happened to look at the goal post during the Oklahoma-Texas game.

FanSided’s own Mike Dyce is attending the game and while sitting behind the Texas end zone noticed something wasn’t correct with the goal post. What’s wrong, you ask? It appears as if the post is completely out of alignment and looks rather crooked.

One may think its nothing more than an optical illusion though it’s rather evident that’s not the case and the goal post is clearly off center. Just take a look at the goal line in comparison to the bottom crossbar. Either I’m already snookered early in the morning or somebody forgot to set the goal post accurately.

How nobody on either of Texas’ or Oklahoma’s sideline has yet to notice such is a bit alarming though it’s possible officials simply don’t want to stop the flow of the game to fix the post when it can be properly aligned during a stoppage. It doesn’t appear anybody knows why the goal post looked like it just rattled through an earthquake either though we imagine it’s likely to be fixed in the very near future.

If only kickers could use the crooked goal post excuse more often when they struggle.
