Carolina Panthers (+7) over Cincinnati Bengals

Much has been made of Carolina’s injury issues in the backfield, and we legitimately might see Darren Reaves as the starting running back for the Panthers on Sunday. However, the Panthers shouldn’t be a full touchdown underdog against very many teams in the NFL, and the Cincinnati Bengals without A.J. Green do not crack that list.

To put this on the table, Cincinnati should win this game. The Bengals are likely undervalued on the heels of their blowout loss to the Patriots a week ago, and they are still a very good team on the back of their stingy defense and solid skill position talent. However, the loss of Green is absolutely enormous for a team with quarterback issues (hello, Andy Dalton), and the Panthers still boast an above-average unit on the defensive side, even without Greg Hardy.

Cam Newton hasn’t been himself this season, and the Panthers can’t run the ball. Still, their defense will keep this game close, and the line just stinks. No one likes Carolina this week, but I can’t figure out why, and the sharp money should be on the Panthers. Roll with it.
