While most viewers at home don’t often see pregame rituals, especially during NFL games, they certainly take place.

Of course, most aren’t as strange as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ pregame ritual which was caught on camera today prior to their game against the Cleveland Browns.

Members of the Pittsburgh Steelers defense were coming out of the tunnel for their warmups when linebacker coach Joey Porter came over to greet them. It began very normal as Porter extended his hand to his players though in the process continually got closer and closer to the turf.

Okay, a little odd sure, but relatively normal, right?

That’s when things got really strange and Porter then got on the ground with the final player coming out of the tunnel and the two not only engaged hands but also raised their leg as if they were a dog pissing on a fire hydrant.

Was that a shot at the Cleveland Browns? Perhaps a dig at the ‘Dog Pound’?

Whatever the Steelers’ ritual was, it was quite odd and pretty damn funny.

Pretty clear as to why the NFL and their broadcasters would obviously prefer to limit what they show in regards to the pregame rituals of teams as this is still pretty tame compared to things seen previously.
