Buffalo Bills WR Mike Williams requests trade
By Josh Hill
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mike Williams was deactivated before Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots, and as a result he has asked for a trade.
Mike Williams was traded not that long ago from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Buffalo Bills and it seems he wants to find out if the third time is the charm. Following his surprise deactivation on Sunday against the New England Patriots, Williams has requested a trade out of Buffalo.

Bills general manager Doug Whaley confirmed that the team has received a request from Williams’ agent asking to find a team that may be interested in trading for his client.
Buffalo didn’t balk at the notion, and instead calmly noted that it would take ‘fair compensation’ to make a deal happen.
Williams hasn’t been all that productive with the Bills but there is clearly a need for him to find a better position in the NFL. The receiving crops in Buffalo is topped off by Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, leaving the former No. 1 receiver in Williams stuck at the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.
It’s hard to say he’s anything more than a low-end No. 2 option on a team but Williams showed flashes both with Tampa Bay and more recently with Buffalo that could make him worth a low draft pick.
There are teams in the NFL that could use a tall deep threat like Williams, as the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings and even the Detroit Lions come to mind as teams who could take a chance on Williams at a fair price.
