Stephen Curry makes Kobe Bryant look silly on defense (Video)

There aren’t many in the NBA who can say they’ve made Kobe Bryant look silly on the defensive end of the court, but most don’t have the offensive arsenal of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers were harpooned by Curry’s Golden State Warriors on Sunday night though it wasn’t the 116-75 score that was the talk of the town, rather Curry’s impressive offensive play.
Neither Curry nor Bryant spent a ton of time on the floor but both looked impressive when they were on the court, especially Stephen Curry who drained a three in the face of Kobe Bryant went sent the crowd into a frenzy.
After the Golden State Warriors tossed the ball inbounds to Curry, Bryant rushed down the length of the court in effort to give Curry a full press. Not rattled, Curry dribbled his way through Bryant’s rock solid defense until the two reached the opposing side of the court. That’s when things got really interesting as the Black Mamba began his attempts to punk Curry and steal the ball, forcing the Golden State Warriors guard to lose his balance.
Up for the challenge, Stephen Curry regained his footing and knocked down a three right in Kobe Bryant’s face.
A sign of respect, Kobe couldn’t help but smile after the battle and gave Curry a much deserved pat on the butt after the two engaged in a pretty awesome superstar battle.
You have to wonder if a 26-year-old gets beat by Curry but regardless, that was one of the best moments we’ve seen during the 2014 NBA preseason. If only the game itself would have been just as entertaining.
Looks like it’s going to be a long season in Hollywood for the Los Angeles Lakers.
