Cincinnati Bengals sign former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Greg Little.

After a solid start to his career with the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Greg Little has fallen on tough times.

Little, who emerged on the scene for the Browns in 2011 was recently released by wide receiver needy Oakland Raiders (ouch) though has finally resurfaced as the Cincinnati Bengals have signed the wideout to a contract.

Details of the deal have yet to be released, though it’s likely nothing more than a minimum base deal.

You may recall that Greg Little put up a 700 yard rookie season and looked on his way to potential stardom with the Browns though struggled to improve during his sophomore campaign. A less than stellar third year and the Browns cut bait leaving Little out of football for a few months.

Now with the Cincinnati Bengals, it’s not expected that Greg Little will see a ton of time as he’s more an addition of depth due to A.J. Green’s injury.

On Monday the Bengals suggested they did not see Green, who is battling a toe injury, playing on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts though Green himself wasn’t so quick to discount himself and suggested there was a possibility he’d be on the field.

Regardless the Cincinnati Bengals needed somebody to fill a roster spot if A.J. Green does sit out the Week 7 contest and there weren’t many options in free agency better than that of Greg Little. It’s completely possible that Little could be given his walking papers if Green returns in the near future, though given his struggle with injury this season the Bengals may decide to keep him around for a few more weeks at minimum.
