By now you’ve probably heard that Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested on shoplifting charges at Dillard’s, a Class B Misdemeanor Theft.
What you probably haven’t heard is Randle spent time talking about his luxury-filled life on a local Dallas radio station just a few days ago which included comments about his Gucci shoes, this according to TMZ.
"Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle BRAGGED about owning several pairs of expensive shoes just days before he was busted for shoplifting — claiming nice stuff made him feel good.Randle was speaking to Mac Engel on 105.3 THE FAN Dallas/Ft. Worth last Friday — when the NFL player, who makes just under $500k per year, said he’s dropped 4-figs on Gucci shoes on several occasions."
In the clip Joeseph Randle talks about his desire to always dress nice and present himself well and suggested he would always do so, even when he didn’t have any money. Oddly enough, Randle was popped by the Dallas police for shoplifting two pairs of Polo underwear and a bottle of Gucci cologne, so he probably smelled really good when they hauled him off to the clinker at least.
Why exactly a person making half a million dollars per year needs to steal is beyond me, let alone an NFL player who could likely get such products for free if he simply had asked his agent. Alas, a poor choice on the part of Joseph Randle who has appeared in six games for the Dallas Cowboys this season.
In those contests, Randle has amassed just sixteen carries though has tallied 118 rushing yards. It’s not known what type of punishment he’s facing from the Dallas Cowboys or the NFL though given his importance in Big D, it doesn’t seem as if his roster spot will be in jeopardy – at least not currently.
