If you were asked to describe the New York Jets you’d probably come up with a few words, one of which may be dysfunctional. It seems to be a rather accurate description of the franchise though not according to head coach Rex Ryan.
“Saying it’s dysfunctional I think is maybe a perception you guys have, but it’s certainly not the case here,” Ryan said. “We haven’t won as much as we want, clearly. But shoot, this is far from a dysfunctional team. Again, you’ll see it when we get there [Thursday night]. This is a good football team. We just haven’t produced the wins yet.”
Just a few days ago backup quarterback Michael Vick suggested he wasn’t prepared to enter the game despite doing so, one of many instances where fans and pundits have questioned what exactly the New York Jets are doing.
This of course isn’t the first time the leadership of the New York Jets has been put into question as it seems to be a yearly occurrence. That however may have something to do with the fact that the New York Jets play in the media capital of the Unites States, though the lack of preparation certainly isn’t helping the cause.
Alas, winning games seems to be the cure for everything so if the New York Jets can get themselves back in the win column life might be much easier moving forward. That has proven to be easier said than done however and with the way things are going, it looks like it could be a very rough year for Rex Ryan and his New York Jets.
