Miami Dolphins left tackle Branden Albert may miss Week 7 against the Chicago Bears with an elbow injury.

The Miami Dolphins don’t need another player on offense to go down with injury but that may be the case for left tackle Branden Albert who is in danger of missing their Week 7 tilt.

Albert suffered an elbow injury late in the Miami Dolphins heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers and while he’s been able to participate in routine exercise drills (riding a bike, etc) the offensive lineman is concerned he’ll be forced to sit out.

"Albert said after practice he wasn’t sure if he’ll be able to play Sunday against the Bears with an elbow injury suffered late in the first half against the Packers."

Asked about his ability to play in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, Branden Albert stated “we’ll see”. Not exactly the most confident endorsement of his pending status.

If Albert isn’t able to lineup it’s believed that rookie Ja’Wuan James will start in his place, though that’s a significant downgrade for the Miami Dolphins in both the run and pass protection as James would be playing out of position. To make matters worse, the Miami Dolphins are also concerned about the status of running back Lamar Miller though he’s more likely to take the field in comparison to Albert.

As for Branden Albert, he did suggest that he will do his best to play through the injury (though wouldn’t give a firm commitment to starting) and stated he is willing to play even if his elbow is barking.

“I’m here to fight for this team and that’s what I’m going to do.”

Albert still has a few days to hope the elbow injury improves and hopes to be on the field Sunday for the Miami Dolphins if at all possible.
