Brian Hoyer was the quarterback in the way of Johnny Manziel assuming the starting role in Cleveland, but now he has a jersey that is selling better than his Cleveland counterpart.
Cleveland Browns fans are nuts about their team, and for good reason. For the first true time since the franchise returned in 1999, the Browns are actually contenders in the AFC North. Sitting at 3-2. The Browns very well could move into first place in the division in the coming weeks and should that happen the city would explode.

But there is already something exploding in Cleveland as jersey sales are through the roof. No, it’s not those pesky Cavaliers and Lebron James eating up sales, it’s Brian Hoyer and the Browns. Who would have thought it was possible, but according to DICK’s Jersey Report, Hoyer is leading the Browns in jersey sales this week.

Hoyer took a massive leap up the charts, going up almost 100 spots to crack the top 10 in jersey sales. It’s been a similarly long journey for Hoyer to make it to the position he’s at right now with the Browns, but his time to shine is clearly right now. There is talk of an extension for Hoyer, pundits like Tony Kornheiser are saying the Browns should cut Manziel to make room for Hoyer and his jersey sales are through the roof.
No one saw it coming, but Brian Hoyer is the king of Cleveland right now and his jersey is as hot as it may ever be.
