A member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office was arrested on Thursday morning for DUI while at a Taco Bell drive-thru.

The last thing the NFL needs is another black eye yet it seems as if they are continually delivered on a weekly basis. This time however it’s not a player who has behaved badly yet a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office who was arrested for a DUI on Thursday morning.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Bucs director of player development Isaiah Harris is the man who ended up being released on $500 bond after he refused blood alcohol tests.

"According to the arrest report, Harris was “involved in a minor rear-end traffic crash while at the drive-thru” at the Taco Bell on Dona Michelle Drive, just east of Interstate 75. The woman whose car was allegedly hit identified as he parked his pickup truck at a nearby Steak n’ Shake restaurant, according to the report."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ official website lists Isaiah Harris job description as one who “focuses on the personal and professional growth of football players through guidance and support”. I’m guessing driving while under the influence is probably not a goal he sets for the growth of a football player.

While a very immature and stupid decision, thankfully Harris nor any other person was injured and police were able to get the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office member out from behind the wheel before any further damage occurred.

Currently the Bucs have yet to release a statement on the arrest. All has been relatively quiet with the organization considering they are on a bye week and many are on a four-day break, so it’s possible we’ll hear more about the incident when the team fires back up their activity level.
