Portland Trail Blazers Interested In Acquiring Chase Budinger?
By Josh Hill
Portland Trail Blazers fans are happy to see their team is back to being a contender, but getting over the hump may require making a trade with a Western Conference foe.
The Portland Trail Blazers are contenders for an NBA title this year, and in competing they may need to change up some things on their roster. No one needs to be traded, but if something can be traded for then that may be a key to success this season.

Chase Budinger, the Minnesota Timberwolves forward, is the player in question here. After failing to truly latch on with the Wolves, Minnesota is reportedly looking to trade their swingman to further craft a team they hope will contend. Portland knows they’re going to contend, and acquiring Budinger may be a missing piece they need.
According to Sean Deveney from Sporting News, the Portland Trail Blazers are another possible destination for Chase Budinger.
Budinger will more than likely end up somewhere else, and it’s unclear what the Wolves will demand for him. They surrendered a first-round pick a few years ago to land Budinger from the Houston Rockets, but it’s unlikely they’ll get that return.
But with Portland, surrendering what will likely amount to a late-first in exchange for a wing scorer who can help the team make a run at a title this year probably won’t be a hard bargain to sell.
Of course, that’s assuming the Wolves would ask for a first and not something more.
