After what was a pretty eventful Saturday in college football for Week 8, the college football rankings saw some movement in regards to the AP Poll for Week 9.

More from College Football

Week 8 of the college football season is now behind us, and once again the College Football Playoff landscape has been altered after the events that took place. Which means that the college football rankings are going to look a little different, especially the AP Poll.

In the early shocker of the day, the No. 4 Baylor Bears were downed by the West Virginia Mountaineers, effectively ending their hopes for a trip to play for the national title come January.

Right after that, while not an upset, Alabama announced to the nation that the dynasty might be far from dead, as they absolutely tore apart Texas A&M at home in Tuscaloosa.

But the game that everyone is unquestionably talking about on Sunday is the night match up between Florida State and Notre Dame. These two titans played maybe the game of the year, but in the end, the No. 2 Seminoles remained unbeaten while Notre Dame will see if that outcome will affect their playoff fate or not.

With that, here is a look at the new AP Poll that was just released as we head into Week 9 and get closer to the postseason:
