The 2014 MLB World Series will feature a mix of familiar and new faces between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals, but here are four things you need to know before the series starts on Tuesday.

For Kansas City, the entire postseason has been one giant party. The Royals famously ended their 29-year postseason drought by making the Wild Card, and haven’t lost since, beating the Oakland Athletics in that game, and then sweeping the Los Angeles Angels and Baltimore Orioles. KC has surprised again and again this postseason run, and needs four more wins to make it one for the ages.
