While Jason Kidd and Grant Hill never played on the same team together, the two will always be linked together given not only did they retire at the same time but they were both voted winners of the 1994-95 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.
Needless to say both players have a high respect for each other why Jason Kidd’s recent admission that Jabari Parker reminds him of Grant Hill shouldn’t be overlooked.
Many have compared Parker’s game to Hill’s though coming from Jason Kidd, the sentiment seems to hold a bit of additional weight.
While Jason Kidd went on to be a legendary point guard, Grant Hill looked to be on his way to NBA infamy as well though problematic ankle injures all but derailed what would have been a Hall of Fame career for the former Duke talent.
Now it’s possible we could have a reincarnation of Hill in the form of Jabari Parker who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Both players share a similar size and frame along with their unique offensive skills that seemingly make the NBA game look so easy.
It’s extremely high praise for a player who has yet to play his first regular season NBA game but there’s no denying that Jabari Parker has a style to his game that resembles that of Grant Hill.
If Parker even comes close to Hill’s ability and talent level, the Milwaukee Bucks were certainly be sitting pretty in the next year or two.
