It appears the free agent tour of quarterback Terrelle Pryor has hit the Big Apple as the veteran signal caller was part of a mass group that worked out with the New York Giants on Tuesday afternoon.

Pryor, who last season started a handful of games for the Oakland Raiders was hopeful to latch on with the Seattle Seahawks this season in a backup role. That didn’t work out as planned however as Pryor quickly found himself on the open market and has remained there since that time.

There have been workouts with multiple teams including the Cincinnati Bengals though none have progressed themselves into a contract. Pryor is understandably hoping that will change with his most recent workout.

With Eli Manning under center, the New York Giants obviously aren’t looking for a starting quarterback so perhaps they’re a little unhappy with their backups. It’s also possible there could be an announced injury and the NEw York Giants are looking for some cheap insurance at the quarterback position for a week or two.

Pryor is just one of a handful of former NFL players who partook in the workout which also included former Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones.

It would seem Jones actually has a possible chance of making the New York Giants’ roster given the current injury to Rashad Jennings, though he’s expected to return in the next few weeks.

The New York Giants will be on a bye this week as they attempt to get their season back on track after yet another loss, this time to the NFL’s best, the Dallas Cowboys.
