Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush says he is not 100 percent but will be ready to go on the field Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons when the NFL heads back London.

The Detroit Lions offense has struggled immensely since week one of the season when they put up 35 points. While they’re 5-2 on the season, most of that can be attributed to their defense, which ranks the best in the NFL. Reggie Bush and Calvin Johnson have both been sidelined with ankle injuries but Reggie Bush says he’ll be on the field at a larger capacity Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in London.

Bush did play in part of Sunday’s win against the New Orleans Saints last week, but only in the first half as he came out with ankle issues. Joique Bell took most of the work load.

“I’m fine,” Bush said, via MLive.com Monday. “I mean, I’m not 100 percent. But I haven’t been 100 percent since high school. Got rolled up on a few times and injured in the game. But I felt fine after the game, though. Didn’t have any setbacks, and that’s the most important thing. Looking to just continue to progress every week. I’ll be on the field Sunday.”

Bush had nine touches totaling 32 yards against the Saints and has just 171 yards rushing and 34 receiving yards on the season, numbers that definitely need to improve.

The Detroit Lions are 5-2 and look to build on that against the 2-5 Atlanta Falcons who have lost four straight games with rough offensive efforts. Detroit’s defense should be able to take care of Atlanta with ease and it could be a confidence boosting game for the Detroit offense.
