Will the ride continue for the Kansas City Royals?
Will the San Francisco Giants win an incredible third World Series ring in the past five years?
The Royals are representing the American League in the World Series for the first time in 29 years. After being down to their final ups twice in the AL Wild Card game against the Oakland Athletics, Ned Yost and company have gone on to win eight straight games. They swept the Los Angeles Angels in the ALDS and the Baltimore Orioles in the ALCS.
If the Royals lose a World Series game, it will be their first loss of the postseason and their first loss in almost a month.
The Giants earned a National League Pennant the hard way as well, defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wild Card game. They then defeated the Washington Nationals in four games in the NLDS and the St. Louis Cardinals in five games in the NLCS.
Bruce Bochy and the Giants are looking to keep their recent streak alive of winning the World Series in even years.
