Detroit Lions Have No Plans To Trade Ndamukong Suh
By Josh Hill
The Detroit Lions have one of the best defenses in the NFL but they’re in danger of losing one of their best pieces of that unit.
Ndamukong Suh’s rookie deal is done after 2014 and Detroit is scrambling to try and figure out what they should do with their polarizing star.

On the one hand, keeping Suh is a no-brainer as the Lions defense is finally coming together with Suh being the glue in the middle. On the other hand though, the Lions may not be able to work a deal out with him and trading him may be in the cards as the deadline approaches.
According to Lions beat writer Michael Rothstein, the Lions have no plans to shop or trade Ndamukong Suh before the trade deadline on October 28th.
Trading Suh seems like a decent option at this point as he’s likely to drive the Lions into salary cap hell if he stays and demands a huge contract. That being said, Suh is the best defensive tackle in the NFL and if the Lions don’t pay him what he wants then someone will.
It’s one thing to say you hate the way Suh plays — but when he’s playing for you, your perception of his game changes. that’s what free agency will prove and if the Lions allow him to hit the market he won’t be coming back Detroit.
Trading Suh seems like a wild idea at the moment, but if October 28th approaches and the Lions aren’t certain they can get a deal done, we may see Suh finish this season with another team.
