Steve Ballmer: Most Enthusiastic Owner In Sports (Video)
A Vine clip of Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has made its way around the internet. And it is amazing.
What is so great about watching Steve Ballmer acting like a kid with the brand new toy he had been wanting for Christmas? I mean, is this really behavior to be expected from a billionaire former Microsoft CEO turned NBA franchise owner?

The answer to the second question is “probably not.” But that is what makes it so awesome; and that is the answer to question number one. Very few players, let alone owners (guys making absolute boat loads), exhibit this kind of raw enthusiasm with regards to their teams.
I cannot speak for everyone, but if I was in Mr. Ballmer’s position I would be suiting up and demanding a seat directly in between Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
In a time when the Clippers organization needs to distance themselves from the Donald Sterling portion of franchise history, this should be a welcomed reaction.
If nothing else, it is a shining example of how LA basketball fans should be feeling. The Clippers are no longer the B-team of the city. With the San Antonio Spurs another year older, and the rest of the Western Conference wide open, this could very well be the year we see that other Los Angeles team hoist a championship banner up into the rafters of the Staples Center.
So good on you, Steve. Keep doing what you are doing. Because the NBA needs more owners like you. Professionals sports does, period.
