Tennessee Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger has a striking resemblance to Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite and Will Brinson from Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.

When Kyle Orton took over the Buffalo Bills starting quarterback job earlier this season, instantly people began to suggest he had a striking resemblance to ‘Uncle Rico’.

Now it appears as if Orton has company as Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who was recently given the starting gig, did his best to rock his own ‘Uncle Rico’ look on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking to the media at his locker, Mettenberger who will be taking over for Jake Locker, wore a cutoff Titans practice shirt and shook around his wavy hair while a fashionable Rico-like headband kept his beautiful locks away from his face.

Seriously, how awesome is that? The outfit alone is money but the absurdly perfect shampoo commercial hair and the dazed and confused look – tell me he isn’t going for his own Uncle Rico swag.

If only Zach Mettenberger could hit up a local used goods store and find himself a 1984 bell-bottom inspired suit.

For those who’ve never heard of ‘Uncle Rico’ (and apparently are living under a rock), it’s a character played by Jon Gries in the film Napoleon Dynamite who believes he has the talent of an NFL caliber quarterback despite being twenty years removed from high school.

If the Rico comparison isn’t getting it done, Zach Mettenerger also has a striking resemblance to Will Brinson (played by Ben Stiller), the main antagonist in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.

Welcome to the NFL, rookie. If only you still head the infamous beard. In the meantime, enjoy the hazing (property: @jnsanchez)
