The Giants are hoping to win three games this weekend and avoid a return trip to Kansas City. The Royals would actually like to do the same, or at least send things back home so that they can have the chance to win their first title in 29 years in front of the home fans. The teams have appeared to be pretty evenly matched so far in the series, so this weekend’s games promise to be exciting.
San Francisco will also hope to ride the momentum of playing back at their home park. When it comes to the emotions of this team, they will once again turn to outfielder Hunter Pence. “Well, we have a mascot on our team named Hunter Pence,” Tim Hudson said, via CSN Bay Area. “I mean, that guy he’s full of energy, man. I tell you what, he brings some excitement and some fire to your team that money just can’t buy.”
It will be fascinating to see the energy in San Francisco this weekend and how the Royals respond to it.
The Royals will start Jeremy Guthrie in Game 3, while Tim Hudson will toe the rubber for the Giants.
