Striker Luis Suarez has been serving a four-month ban for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup. During that time, Liverpool sold Suarez to FC Barcelona and has yet to make an appearance for the club.
As fate would have it, the first game Luis Suarez is eligible to play is El Clasico against Real Madrid. But the questioned still remained, would they start Luis Suarez or bring him off the bench as a super sub?
Barcelona announced on Twitter that Luis Suarez would be infact starting his first game for Barcelona against Real Madrid.

13. Bravo
3. Piqué
5. Sergio
6. Xavi
8. Iniesta
9. Luis Suárez
10. Messi
11. Neymar
14. Mascherano
22. Alves
24. Mathieu
Before the game, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique said that “Luis Suárez will have a few minutes without doubt,” which made it seem like they were going the super-sub route. Of course that thought process has been eliminated with this news, but you’d have to think that they won’t have Suarez on the pitch for the entire game.
They could be looking to do the opposite of a super-sub, start him to provide a spark on the road and get a lead early on and then sub him off when he begins to look tired.
Suarez hasn’t played in regular competitive soccer in a while, and could have a bit of rust.
