The Royals won on Friday with their typical brand of baseball in a tight game. They got a slim lead and handed it to their studs in the bullpen. There were a couple scares, but ultimately Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis, and Greg Holland came through once again to seal with victory.

For their part, the Royals think that the Giants are paranoid about stopping their speed. Jarrod Dyson has one theory in particular, one he offered after Friday night’s game. “It was watered down; it was sandy out there,” said Dyson, via CSN Bay Area. “When I took off, I left a big divot in the ground. They’re just trying to slow our running game down. Typical move. We’re not surprised by it.”

Jason Vargas will start Game 4 for the Royals. His counterpart for the Giants will be Ryan Vogelsong, who has struggled in his most recent appearances.
