Editor’s note: This post will take a look at the top Fantasy Football Week 8 scoring leaders and top performers from the early games.

More from Buffalo Bills

The Lions and Falcons played a great game in London to get our Sunday of week 8 underway. Hopefully, you liked the early start to the NFL Sunday, since it looks like the NFL sure did and will be looking to get even more games in London.  In addition to the London game, there were eight early games in the NFL today, and these were the players who stepped up for their Fantasy Football teams:

Tom Brady-QB-New England Patriots

Brady was on fire on Sunday completing 30 of his 35 attempts for 354 yards against the Bears.  He threw a total of five touchdowns in New England’s 51-23 rout of Chicago.

Arian Foster-RB-Houston Texans

In the other early-game rout, Foster and the Texans took it to the Titans winning 30-16. Foster scored a total of three touchdowns two of them coming on his 20 carries which he took for 151 yards while adding a third touchdown and 22 yards on his four catches.

Rob Gronkowski-TE-New England Patriots

Gronk matched Foster’s three scores in a huge game before leaving a bit early due to dehydration. He hauled in nine passes for 149 yards and his three touchdowns.  It’s safe to say Gronk is officially all the way back to his elite form.

Miami Dolphins D/ST

The Dolphins D dominated the Jaguars scoring a pair of return TDs while forcing three turnovers. Miami added four sacks and held the Jags to just a pair of field goals.

Jamaal Charles-RB-Kansas City Chiefs

Charles scored a pair of rushing touchdowns on his 73 yards on 13 carries and added 44 yards receiving on his four catches. Charles looked as healthy as he has all year and could be returning to his elite form.

Golden Tate-WR-Detroit Lions

Playing as the lead receiver for Detroit once again with Calvin Johnson sidelined, Tate had a huge game in the Lions come-from-behind win in London.  Tate got 15 passes thrown his way and he hauled in seven catches for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Matthew Stafford-QB-Detroit Lions

Stafford led Detroit back and since they were playing from behind he threw lots of passes finishing with 47 pass attempts and 24 completions.  He threw for 325 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also throwing an interception and running for nine yards.

Sammy Watkins-WR-Buffalo Bills

Watkins continued his string of huge games with 157 yards and a touchdown despite catching only three passes.  Watkins had an embarrassing premature celebration, but he finished with a long touchdown and a solid statline overall.

Matt Forte-RB-Chicago Bears

Forte had a big game despite the Bears defeat, rushing for 114 yards and adding 54 more yards on six catches and scoring a receiving touchdown. He continues to be a top RB in all matchups.

Kyle Orton-QB-Buffalo Bills

Orton threw four touchdowns against the Jets despite only throwing ten complete passes.  He threw for 238 yards in the Bills rolling of the Jets as they dominated their turnover-prone AFC East rivals 43-17.
