The Detroit Lions listened closely to TSA regulations, as it appears they left all their weapons back in America.

The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons are battling it out in an afternoon game over in London on Sunday, but through one half of play it appeared the Lions had left something back State-side — their offense.

After falling behind 21-0 at halftime, the Lions finally got something going in the third quarter on a decent drive to start things out. But after failing to get a touchdown, the team settled for a field goal.

that wouldn’t be the case the next time around. Detroit took advantage of a bad punt by the Falcons to get Golden Tate his first touchdown of the game — and the Lions their first touchdown as well.

Here’s proof that the Lions indeed brought some offense overseas to London.

The play was a bomb and it came after the Lions tried to go deep a play before but were called for a penalty. Not only that, but Matthew Stafford overthrew his receiver by about five yards. He corrected that on his pass to a surprisingly wide open Golden Tate a play later.

Detroit is trying to make sure their offense doesn’t get in the way of what has been stellar defensive play in 2014. Just like in 2011, the team needs to avoid tripping over itself offensively, and that Stafford bomb to Golden Tate is what Lions fans would like to see a lot more of.
