By Ed Carroll
Kansas City Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain admitted he’s been battling an unspecific leg issue for the past two-to-three weeks, but the injury won’t keep him out of the World Series.

Cain refused to specify the leg issue in particular, so it’s unclear what to actually make of this news. He says he’s ready for Game Five, and seeing as there’s, at most, three games left in the
postseason, Cain would probably have to be completely unable to walk to sit out at this point. There’s a solid chance this isn’t anything for Royals fans to worry about.
Also, if this issue has been bothering Cain for as long as three weeks, it means he’s been bothered for most of the postseason, and while it’s certainly possible he’s been playing hurt, the results have been hard to notice with how well he has been playing; in addition to winning the ALCS MVP, Cain has slashed .327/.370/.408 in the small-sample postseason.
