The Lions fell behind early in the match and things got worse when defensive tackle Nick Fairley went down with a leg injury which appeared to be serious in the first half.
Fairley struggled to get back to his feet and was favoring his knee, though the exact nature of the injury was not immediately disclosed.
However, Detroit wasted no time ruling Fairley out for the remainder of the game.
As Fairley was falling to the turf, he took the full weight of his own body and fellow defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh with his leg bent at an awkward angle.
Fairley was in obvious pain and immediately grabbed for his leg.
We will update you on Fairley’s injury as more information becomes available.
