The TCU Horned Frogs scored so many points against Texas Tech they ran out of their allotment of fireworks for the season.

On Saturday afternoon the TCU Horned Frogs had a record breaking day offensively as they put up 82 points in their win over rival Texas Tech.

Known for having a rather stout defense, TCU’s offense has emerged over the past few weeks and looks like one of the better in the country. It’s been so good, in fact, the school has used up all of their fireworks for the entire season.

Shooting off explosions after a score, the team admitted that they have run out of fireworks because of the high-powered offense.

It’s not known if the team/school has any additional money left in the budget to secure themselves more fireworks but you’d like to think they’d be able to find a way. Of course, if TCU continues to put up insane offensive numbers like they have, the school may end up going broke.

Why the TCU staff didn’t decide to stop with the pyro show once they noticed the dwindling supply is unknown though it doesn’t seem as if they’d continue on with the blasts if they knew they wouldn’t be able to order more.

Still, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard a team running out of explosives because their team itself is too explosive.

Guess it’s a good time to be a fireworks maker in the Texas area, huh?
