The New England Patriots likely figured they’d be in a fight with the Chicago Bears on Sunday despite some turmoil in the Windy City.
That didn’t prove to be the case at all however as the Chicago Bears looked anemic while the New England Patriots appeared to be a reincarnation of their Super Bowl winning teams.
Giving up the most points in franchise history during the first half of a game (38 points), the Chicago Bears were blasted by Tom Brady who has tossed a multitude of touchdowns. One of those throws went to tight end Tim Wright who hauled in his first of the season.
Wright was acquired by the New England Patriots from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this season and some believed the versatile tight end could prove to be an effective weapon for the Patriots. So far that hasn’t happened as Wright isn’t used very often though appears to be a threat when he is on the field, especially in the red zone.
Many questioned Tom Brady’s skills and ability after a slow start to the season, potentially wondering if Father Time had finally caught up with the New England Patriots’ signal caller. However after multiple games with more than one touchdown pass, those doubters have all but quieted as Tom Brady looks to be rounding into his typical MVP-form.
