The World Series is now four games in, and there doesn’t seem to be a clear favorite as close games and blowouts are dominating the series.

The Kansas City Royals were looking to take a 3-1 series lead on the San Francisco Giants but that didn’t happen in Game 4 of the World Series. After looking sharp in Game 3, the Royals got obliterated on Saturday night, dropping their second game of the series by five runs.

On a day when the TCU Horned Frogs blew out the Texas Tech Red Raiders 82-27, the Giants joined that party by whopping up on the Royals 11-4 to even the World Series at two games a piece.

It wasn’t the blowout the whole night though. In fact, it was looking like the Royals were going to be on the right side of a sizable win in Game 4. Kansas City used a four-run third inning to take a 4-1 lead on the Giants, which looked like it might stick. But then the Giants blew the game wide open starting in the fifth inning by scoring 9 runs over the course of three innings.

Adding that to the two runs they already had, the Giants amassed an 11-4 lead over the Royals seemingly out of nowhere.

With the World Series now tied at 2-2, the Giants will now look to completely turn the tables on the Royals and take a 3-2 series lead back to Kansas City. At the least though, San Francisco forced the World Series back to Kansas City and they’ll look to wrap things up then if they can get a big win in Game 5.
