It appears NFL players aren’t the only athletes dealing with domestic battery issues as FSU‘s running back Karlos Williams is currently being investigated for such a crime according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
While details of the alleged crime are relatively minimal at this point, the Tallahassee Police Department is currently attempting to figure out what exactly went down between Karlos Williams and his pregnant girlfriend.
“The alleged crime is an active on-going investigation and Florida Law does not allow TPD to discuss the details of any case while it is on-going,” the police department said in an afternoon news release.
Williams’ girlfriend apparently went to Facebook to display her injuries via SFSN.tv though at this point they are not confirmed to be from Williams.
According to the Tallahassee Democrat, police received information about the alleged domestic battery case on Saturday night and continue to look for more information though do not expect to make much more public comment until further in the case.
Williams, who is a a senior running back is starting for the first time in his collegiate career and has rushed for 378 yards and seven touchdowns for the undefeated Florida State Seminoles.
News of the alleged attack did leak on Friday afternoon though head coach Jimbo Fisher stated it was nothing but a false report. Again, it’s not known how true the allegations are at this point though Karlos Williams is being investigated.
