Rob Gronkowksi Scores TDs, Likes It A Lot

This just in. New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski likes scoring touchdowns.

Stop the NFL presses. The Gronk is a fan of the touchdown. The Patriots big man apparently has an affinity for the score, which can only be likened to just about every other receiver in the league.

More from Chicago Bears

“I like scoring touchdowns for sure. That’s why when I get in the red zone my eyes light up,” Gronkowski told ESPN.

Perhaps this would explain why he went off on the struggling Chicago Bears for 3 of them, complimented by 149 yards on 9 catches. But even love for touchdowns, cannot quench a player’s thirst.

That is why Gronk had to be lifted from the game with dehydration. “Yes, it was [dehydration]. Just came in, got some fluids in me. Everything’s good.” He continued. “I could have easily come back into the game, no doubt about it, no questions about it. I could have easily come back. I wanted to come back,” said Gronkowski.

Nevertheless, he is quite aware of his size, and to be fair, who would not be? “Being a big guy, obviously I’m not as fast as the DBs and the safeties and stuff and some of the linebackers are really fast too. I have to use my body as leverage to outflank the guy to use it as a basketball move, like to box out,” said the Patriots pro-bowler.

He does owe a great deal of gratitude to his quarterback, though. Tom Brady is not exactly Rex Grossman. In fact, I think a gift may eventual be in order. Perhaps he could give the Patriots QB 49 pairs of UGG boots; one for every touchdown.
