As the sixth game of the MLB World Series gets underway tonight, here is how the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants will line up.

The Kansas City Royals are headed back to Kauffman Stadium tonight to take on the San Francisco Giants in a must win game six of the World Series. After dropping two out of three in San Francisco, the Royals find themselves returning home behind by one game in the series.

However, the numbers may be on their side as eight of the last 10 Word Series teams to return home for the final two games after being down 3-2, have gone on to win the title. Also, in 1985, the last time the Royals were in the playoffs (and won the World Series) a 3-2 deficit was overcome once returning home.

As Yordano Ventura takes the ball against Jake Peavy tonight, Kansas City will be rocking The K looking for a big offensive output of their own to force a game seven.

Here is how both of the teams will line up for tonight’s matchup:

San Francisco Giants

Gregor Blanco CF
Joe Panik 2B
Buster Posey C
Pablo Sandoval 3B
Hunter Pence RF
Brandon Belt 1B
Michael Morse DH
Travis Ishikawa LF
Brandon Crawford SS
Jake Peavy P

Kansas City Royals

Alcides Escobar SS
Nori Aoki RF
Lorenzo Cain CF
Eric Hosmer 1B
Billy Butler DH
Alex Gordon LF
Salvador Perez C
Mike Moustakas 3B
Omar Infante 2B
Yordano Ventura P

As the Royals look to knock off Peavy, they will have to make sure to get on the board early. His last time out, Peavy ceded four runs over five innings and took the loss. History is also against him as Peavy has never lasted longer than 5.2 innings in any of his eight postseason starts. Kansas City will look to replicate that same kind of success this time around.

Ventura, easily the hardest throwing starting pitcher in the series, will look to propel the Royals to another win. In game 2, Ventura went 5.1 innings giving up only two runs.

Look for the Royals to allow the crowd and the stage to fuel them. I see a convincing win tonight for Kansas City, forcing a game 7 matchup of Tim Hudson, and possibly Jeremy Guthrie facing his former team.
