It’s been a week since the Denver Broncos hosted the San Diego Chargers in a Thursday night matchup that became known for more of what happened off the field than on it.
During halftime of the blowout Denver Broncos victory, Paul Kitterman, 53, of Kremmling, Colorado decided to meet up with some friends on a concourse at Sports Authority Field. He never returned to his seat and without any credit cards or cell phone (which he left at home) the man didn’t check in.
Understandably concern grew for Kitterman who was attending his first Denver Broncos game.
Thankfully though there was a happy ending as the Broncos fan was found safely about a 100 miles away from the stadium after he decided to hitchhike, suggesting he had his ‘fair share’ of the football game.
"A short time later, officers received a call from the owner of Benfatti Furniture who saw Kitterman. Police later located him at a Kmart store. Kitterman told officers that he had his fill of football and left the game, but he didn’t say how he got to Pueblo."
It’s pretty wild for a person to vanish off the radar, especially during the middle of a football game but that’s exactly what happened with Paul Kitterman.
There was a scare earlier in the week when a body of a man was found near Sports Authority Field though it was quickly determined not to be Kitterman.
Hopefully next time the fan decides to attend a Denver Broncos game he’ll bring his wallet and a cell phone just in case he decides to go on another mini road trip after the contest.
