Mother and daughter Kansas City Royals fans found a clever way to express the amount of time that has passed since the last time their team won the World Series.

The Kansas City Royals last appeared in the World Series in 1985. They won that Fall Classic in dramatic fashion in seven games, with well-known stars on the team like Bret Saberhagen and George Brett. That was a moment of glory for the franchise, but a long drought followed.

Many tortured fans in Kansas City are being rewarded for their loyalty with this World Series run 29 years later. To illustrate the amount of time that has passed, a mother and daughter created a couple creative signs.

From being on the verge of motherhood to be being on the verge of grandmotherhood, but one thing appears to have remained constant: loyalty to the Royals. The love of sports teams is often something that families enjoy together and pass down from one generation to the next. There’s nothing like a thrilling run to the World Series to gain lifelong fans.

As for the Royals’ fan yet to be born, hopefully he/she will see another World Series in a shorter time span than 30 years.

And hey, maybe the whole three months pregnant coincidence will prove to be lucky.
