When the Houston Rockets traded Jeremy Lin to the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason, the point guard couldn’t have been happier. Not only was he returning to his native California but he was also getting an opportunity to start on one of the NBA’s most premier franchises and play alongside Kobe Bryant.
Two games into the regular season however Jeremy Lin might be having second thoughts as the point guard has looked sub par to say the least.
Not only is Lin not playing well in terms of scoring but he’s also struggling to run the offense, something that has frustrated Kobe Bryant.
Kobe said he talked to Lin on the bench & said "you got to run the offense. I'm telling you to run the offense & you got to do it."(on TWC)

It’s been said that Kobe Bryant has taken on more of a nurturing role with most of the Los Angeles Lakers roster, especially the rookies, so this doesn’t come across as the angry Bryant we may remember from a few seasons back. Still, we know how much Kobe despises losing and things are not starting out how he envisioned.
Certainly the blame doesn’t all fall on Jeremy Lin and the point guard will undoubtedly improve as the season stretches along, though it’s fair to assume he probably wasn’t thinking he’d need a talk from Kobe Bryant just two games into the season.
In regards to Bryant, it’s hard to blame him as the Los Angeles Lakers offense has looked stagnant and the ball simply isn’t moving enough. They’ve also fallen into the trap of giving the ball to Bryant late in the shot clock, forcing him to put up a questionable shot.
