Minnesota Twins Close To Hiring Paul Molitor As New Manager
While the process was exhaustive, it now appears that the Minnesota Twins have found their next MLB manager in Paul Molitor.
The Minnesota Twins have been without a manager since firing Ron Gardenhire following another 90 loss campaign in 2014. Terry Ryan, Minnesota’s general manager, moved on from a man that had been with the club for over a decade. Today, reports have surfaced that the Twins have concluded their search, and that the next manager of the Minnesota Twins will be none other than Paul Molitor.

Patrick Reusse of 1500 ESPN in the Twin Cities is reporting that the Twins are set to name Molitor their next manager. Likely waiting until early next week to hold a press conference and make it official.
Saturday morning show host Judd Zulgad shared the news on Twitter:
Edging out Boston Red Sox bench coach, Torrey Lovullo, Molitor found himself as the last man standing. While he doesn’t have a well established managing track record, many around baseball believe Molitor to be one of the smartest minds in the game. With the Twins looking for a new direction, Paul Molitor brings a background of belief in analytics, shifts, and some other often disregarded principles by former manager Ron Gardenhire.
