Baltimore Ravens running back Bernard Pierce recently had his home broken into in Baltimore County.

Bernard Pierce, running back for the Baltimore Ravens, recently had to file a police report for breaking-and-entering that occurred at his home in Baltimore County but didn’t specify what was stolen.

Bernard Pierce told the Baltimore Sun that while he was at the Ravens’ annual Purple Evening event at M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 13, he returned to his home to find that it was broken into and entered. Pierce sold the Sun that there were significant losses, but declined to say what.

The report is being handled by Lt. Robert McCullough of the Franklin Precinct in Baltimore County. The police report is not currently available to the media, but Pierce denied any rumors that he was held hostage or kidnapped during the break-in attempt as he was not home.

This is not the first time that Pierce has been the victim of a crime. In June 2013, his car was stolen after an armed robbery at gunpoint in his hometown of Philadelphia led to his BMW sport-utility vehicle being stolen during when he was eating pizza, visiting with friends.

When Ray Rice was suspended and then released by the team after his domestic violence incident with wife, Janay Rice was made public, Pierce took over and played well and is still splitting carries with Ravens running back Justin Forsett who has taken the majority of the load. He has rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 55 carries this season.

His next game is Sunday night against divisional rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
