It’s been a rough day for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Not only is the signal caller now out of the game due to injury but just minutes before he was forced to depart, the swarming Houston Texans defense put him on the lowlight reel.
With just over three minutes left in the first quarter and Foles’ Eagles leading by a touchdown, the quarterback attempted to go down field where he experienced success earlier in the contest.
He wasn’t so lucky this time as the Houston Texans defensive line quickly got into the backfield forcing Foles to throw earlier than he wanted.
The end result? Multiple defenders in en route to the wayward pass which was nabbed out of mid-air by a Houston Texans defender. That was only the start of the play though as A.J. Bouye took the ball back 51-yards to the house for a touchdown thanks to some high quality blocks.
Despite a hefty assortment of touchdown passes this season, Nick Foles has also struggled with the interception ball. Some on the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff feel the signal caller is throwing off his back foot far too often, though I’m guessing the Houston Texans don’t mind today.
