Mike Evans caught his third career NFL touchdown on a 24-yard pass from Mike Glennon to put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Cleveland Browns 7-6.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a rough season so far, and are currently sitting at 1-6 on the season as they face the Cleveland Browns this afternoon. Rookie wide receiver Mike Evans has made some nice plays this year, and second-year quarterback Mike Glennon has replaced the injured Josh McCown very well and has made some plays of his own.

More from Cleveland Browns

All of that being said, Evans caught a 24-yard touchdown pass this afternoon against Cleveland to put the Buccaneers up 7-6 over the Browns. He has been Glennon’s favorite target and he is a very difficult matchup for any opposing defensive back. Tampa Bay is looking to win a few more games at least this season, especially after the embarrassment and disappointment that they have been through this season so far.

Looking ahead, Tampa Bay could be interested in drafting one of the better quarterbacks in the 2015 draft class. Marcus Mariota would be a nice addition to their lineup, and would grow alongside of Evans very nicely. That being said, Buccaneers fans can always be excited about the future of their young playmaking wide receiver.
