Is there any doubt that the greatest actors of our generation are athletes? OJ Simpson in the “Naked Gun” series of films is a classic example. That is why this audition video for “True Detective” featuring
legends Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley makes too much sense.
Does anyone remember “Kazaam?” Virtually snubbed at the Oscars, it was Shaq’s Magnum Opus at the cinema and made kids believe in themselves a few months before Michael Jordan shamelessly attempted to tackle the same sentiment.
Speaking of “Space Jam,” Sir Charles had a chance to showcase his acting chops in a few brief cameos during the film. Among a litany of talented NBA players turned superstar actors, Barkley’s performance shined brightest. One could argue he was the real star of the movie.
But we are not here to discuss nostalgia. No. We are here to watch two brilliant cross-over stars display their second loves for you today. Make sure to free yourself of any distractions as to get the most out of these performances.
Does that not make you feel things? Have you not the slightest bit of enjoyment? What you just watched was a small tease of what could be. And it makes us here at Fansided hunger for more.
