Poor Klay Thompson.

The Golden State Warriors talent would likely be a franchise guard on most rosters in the NBA though living in the shadow of Stephen Curry doesn’t exactly put you in prime position to win a popularity contest.

That’s something Thompson found recently as fresh off his maximum level contract extension, the guard made his way to a local Chipotle restaurant where a fan recognized him. Sadly they couldn’t put a finger on where they knew him from, though knew he looked famous.

With cameras rolling the woman who was filming repeatedly asked the Golden State Warriors guard who he was though Thompson, being a cool customer, didn’t answer as he continued to pose for the photo.

In somewhat of a panicked state, the woman continued to press Thompson on who exactly he is. Perhaps frustrated or simply having fun, Klay Thompson suggested he was Warriors teammate Stephen Curry.

It’s difficult to tell if Klay Thompson thought the woman was simply being silly and he gave a sarcastic answer giving how dry his response was or if he actually was attempting to troll her. Either way it came out extremely humorous.

Hopefully we get a video of Stephen Curry at a local McDonald’s telling people he’s Klay Thompson, just to complete the circle.
