From the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn to owning a stake in Armand de Brignac Champagne.
It’s probably not how Jay Z envisioned his life playing out but he’s certainly not going to complain after the rapper turned entrepreneur added another company to his portfolio.
Hov, who has not only previously endorsed the company but also written verses about the popular liquor company can now say he’s a proud owner after buying an unannounced portion of the business.
"The brand, which Jay Z has previously promoted in his music and public appearances, is known for its metallic bottles, which are made by hand at the Cattier family’s 251-year-old chateau in Chigny-les-Roses, France. They feature a pewter insignia of an ace of spades rather than a paper label. Prices start at about $250 a bottle."
Jay Z has dabbled in just about every industry one can imagine from food service, clubs, professional sports franchises (Brooklyn Nets) and of course his famed Roc-A-Fella records and clothing line. Jay Z also was being the creation of Roc Nation Sports and has accredited agent licenses in multiple sports.
Needless to say it’s quite a come up though none of his accomplishments may be more impressive than somehow getting Beyonce to ‘wear his chain’ as the Jigga Man so often refers to.
It’s a pretty nice investment for Jay Z as well considering Armand de Brignac is one of the most popular drinks served around the globe at famed hot spots. A 30-liter bottle of the Champagne can cost upwards of $250,000 dollars.
I’m guessing Cristal Champagne, who Jay Z used to endorse (without pay, mind you) are wishing they wouldn’t have taken a swipe at the hip-hop culture which forced many to abandon the brand.
